Success Stories
The stress of struggling financially for years was taking a toll on the entire Dawson family. Parents Susan and Dan were able to find only sporadic, low-paying employment. Dan began abusing alcohol. Exposed to his drinking as well as neighborhood gangs, the Dawson children, aged 13, 11, and 8, were doing poorly in school and had even tried on several occasions to run away. Life for the Dawsons was spiraling out of control and erupting into domestic violence.
