Anne Williams-Isom is a nonprofit executive and attorney with more than 25 years of leadership and management experience in large, complex organizations. Ms. Williams-Isom has been a proponent for children’s rights and advocate for disadvantaged Americans her entire professional life.
Professor Ibram X. Kendi | April 14
Professor Ibram X. Kendi is the Andrew W. Mellon Professor in the Humanities at Boston University, and the founding director of the BU Center for Antiracist Research. He is a contributing writer at The Atlantic and a CBS News racial justice contributor. Kendi is the 2020-2021 Frances B. Cashin Fellow at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard University.

Dr. Debra Duardo was appointed Los Angeles County Superintendent of Schools by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors effective May 15, 2016, designating her as the top education leader of the nation’s most populous and diverse county. In this post, Dr. Duardo provides leadership and support to the superintendents and other top administrators of the county’s 80 K-12 school districts.
Sarah Haight is Associate Director for Network and Outreach at Ascend at the Aspen Institute. She earned her Master of Social Work degree from the Silver School of Social Work at New York University and has worked as a therapist in direct-practice clinical settings with low-income women in New York City, including an inpatient mental health facility and alternative-to-incarceration clinic, where she conducted individual, group, and family counseling sessions.
Sondra Samuels is the President & CEO of the Northside Achievement Zone (NAZ), a collaborative of over 30 partner nonprofits and schools. Along with parents, students, partners, and staff, Sondra is leading a revolutionary culture shift in North Minneapolis focused on ending multigenerational poverty through education and family stability.

Rev. Dr. Starsky Wilson is the President and CEO of the Children’s Defense Fund. Dr. Wilson is a pastor, philanthropist and activist pursuing God’s vision of community marked by justice, peace and love. He is board chair for the National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy (NCRP) and vice chair of the Forum for Theological Exploration (FTE).
Dr. Daryl Rowe is a licensed psychologist and Professor Emeritus of Psychology, Graduate School of Education and Psychology, Pepperdine University; Past-National President of The Association of Black Psychologists (2013-15); and one of the chief developers of the Emotional Emancipation: Defying the Lie of Black Inferiority and Embracing the Truth of Black Humanity initiative, under the stewardship of The Community Healing Network.
Dr. Rosemary Veniegas currently serves as Senior Program Officer for Health at the California Community Foundation (CCF). CCF is the third oldest community foundation in the U.S., after Cleveland Community Foundation and Chicago Community Trust, with a mission to lead positive systemic change that strengthens Los Angeles (LA) County.
