This training will examine the use of reflective practice skills to support children, parents, and providers is holding emotional content, moving through complex affect, and increasing co-regulations skills within our systems. Attendees will receive an introduction to reflective practice. We will then use this information to consider together how reflective practice skill allow us to safely explore sensitive issues such as: childhood trauma and abuse, parenting with a mental health issue or addition, managing multiple microaggressions, social inequity, or historical trauma, and additional issues providers face. Finally attendees will be introduced to and provided time to practice the use of reflective questions. This training will meet criteria for California IFEMH Reflective Practice Facilitator Endorsement training.

Objectives to come.

Parking: Onsite Parking – $6 and limited street parking

  • Check-in, continental breakfast begin at 8:30 am
  • Training from 9:00 am-4:30 pm

Continental breakfast and boxed lunch provided.

Continuing Education Credits: up to 6 credits available for PSY, MFT, andLCSW’s

APA: Children’s Institute is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Children’s Institute maintains responsibility for this program and its content. The California Board of Behavioral Science (BBS) now recognizes APAcontinuing education credit for license renewal for LCSWs and MFTs.

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY:

By registering for this training the agency is liable for the registration fee, which is fully refundable up to November 8, 2019. Registration is transferrable prior to the start of the training. Once the training begins, fees are non-refundable/transferrable and no partial refunds will be given.
