Advanced Clinical Supervision: Group Clinical Supervision

This workshop is designed to provide the most current skills to enhance ethical multicultural supervision practice including cultural humility, competencies, supervision guidelines and best practices, the supervisory relationship, strain, ruptures, repair, reflective practice, diversity and multiculturalism in all aspects, assessment, feedback, and evaluation strategies, legal and ethical frames, self-care, and management of supervisees not meeting performance competency standards. Through a competency-based frame, interactive meta-theoretical strategies for practice are developed through practice exercises, skill-building, video review, and reflection.

Upon completion of training, participants can be expected to:

  1. Create a structure and format for group supervision.
  2. Establish goals for the group
  3. Establish and promote effective ground rules
  4. Integrate diverse staff styles and perspectives
  5. Select problems to address
  6. Facilitate group process to create safety and involvement
  7. Focus discussion to empower staff to solve problems
  8. Promote safety and learning in the group
  9. Manage problematic group behaviors

Location: St. Anne’s – Foundation Room, 155 N. Occidental Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90026

Parking: Onsite Parking – $6 and limited street parking

Check-in, continental breakfast begin at 9 am; Training from 9:30 am – 4:30 pm

Continental Breakfast and boxed lunch provided.

Continuing Education Credits: up to 6 credits available for PSY, MFT, and LCSW’s

APA: Children’s Institute, Inc. is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. Children’s Institute, Inc. maintains responsibility for this program and its content. The California Board of Behavioral Science (BBS) now recognizes APA continuing education credit for license renewal for LCSWs and MFTs.

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY:

By registering for this training the agency/individual is liable for the registration fee, which is fully refundable up to February 05, 2020. Registration is transferrable prior to the start of the training. Once the training begins, fees are non-refundable/transferrable and no partial refunds will be given.
