Description

This advanced course assumes that supervisors have had an equivalent of a Foundations of Clinical Supervision course and will add advanced skills to their repertoire. The course will use scenarios provided in advance from current and past participants working in community mental health. For each scenario the trainer will provide a brief lecture on the supervision principles related to the scenario, followed by small group discussion of the scenario, and the trainer summarizing lessons learned and skills to be applied.

This course is open only to experienced supervisors of interns, license-eligible, and licensed staff. The course fulfills the 6-hour requirement for continuing education in supervision for re-licensing for supervisors of all disciplines
