CII Featured in Public Television Program

National Education Report story aired nationwide

Los Angeles: Children’s Institute’s nationally recognized work with children affected by violence, abuse and other trauma is currently airing on the public television series, National Education Report, hosted by Hugh Downs. The program documents the latest treads and advancements in education and key leaders in that process. The series is distributed nationally and internationally to an estimated audience of 100 million viewers.

The CII segment highlights the agency’s unique combination of comprehensive, community-based services and leadership activities. Through the agency’s Leadership Center, both long-term professionals and those just entering the field benefit from agency-sponsored national forums, trainings and research. These activities reach hundreds of thousands of children by improving practice in the greater child welfare field.

The two-minute story aired nationally throughout June and July 2009 on Public Television Stations. Click here to view the video on YouTube.
