Trustees, staff, supporters and other friends of Children’s Institute filled the Geffen Playhouse for a special performance of, “Emergency,” the critically acclaimed one-man show by actor, playwright and singer Daniel Beaty. More than 400 guests rose to their feet in enthusiastic applause at the play’s closing scene. The evening marked the end of Beaty’s successful month-long run at the theater with a benefit for CII.
