Building the Reflective Lens: A Supervision Workshop Series

This series of three reflective supervision workshops will be for practitioners trained in the Child Parent Psychotherapy Model (CPP) or any clinician looking to build skills in reflective supervision practice who are providing or will be providing
supervision to clinicians at their agencies. The workshops will focus on building the reflective supervisory framework, applying the fidelity framework and practice of reflective supervision skills.

Featured Presenter:
Maricella Mendez‚ÄźSherwin, Ph.D. is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who has worked for over 21 years with children, adolescents and adult populations. She is a National Trainer in Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) with a training endorsement from the developers of the CPP model at UCSF as well as the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN). She has trained over 395 clinicians from community mental health agencies in the Los Angeles area in the CPP clinical treatment model providing ongoing supervision, training and clinical consultation.

Participants Will Learn:

  • Participants will be able to identify two characteristics that distinguish relationship based reflective supervision from traditional or
    administrative supervision.
  • Discuss strategies for building clinicians reflective practice, awareness of affect, holding multiple perspectives to guide clinical interventions.
  • Identify 3 skills necessary to assist clinicians in formulating case conceptualizations and interventions to improve treatment outcomes.
