The stage at Hollywood’s Barnsdall Gallery Theater came alive when children in CII’s Performing Arts Program presented excerpts from the award-winning Broadway show “Annie!” Performing Arts is one of several CII enrichment activities—which also includes the visual arts and music—that provides acting, dance and voice instruction by arts professionals. The cast performed favorites like “Tomorrow” and “Hard Knock Life” to a full house of parents, supporters, and friends. Despite the day’s stormy weather, the young performers warmed the hearts of all who attended, bringing many to tears with their enthusiasm and new found talents. And thanks to the generosity of CII Trustee Kathleen Vanderziel, a lively “Meet the Cast” reception was enjoyed by all after the performance.
