| Description: | Responsible for Supervising and managing the overall programming of children and staff in all in-home programs and for fostering professionalism throughout the department. Review important decisions with the Child Development Specialist. S/he is accountable for the development of quality in-home programs in full compliance with Children’s Institute International’s Policies and Procedures, Early Head Start Program Performance Standards, and Title 22 Community Care Licensing regulations. Assists in planning special events to inform the parents, Children’s Institute International, or the community about the program or issues pertaining to children, families, or early care and education. Maintains strict confidentiality at all times in all communications regarding parents, children, staff, department, and agency. |
| Qualifications: | Complete working knowledge of client screening methods and practices at CII, typically the result of several years of experience in related positions. Four year degree or higher in Child Development, Early Intervention, Early Childhood Education, or a related field. Education must include six (6) units of supervision and administration plus two (2) additional semester units of adult supervision. Three (3) years of relevant experience including: work with children between birth and three (3) years of age and their parents, exposure the very young children with a variety of disabilities, early intervention strategies, work with or providing services to pregnant women, staff supervision, daily management of multiple programs, and knowledge of integrated family support services.
