Les Amies members have long taken a special interest in ensuring that CII’s children have wonderful, safe places to play. One of the group’s most significant contributions was creating state-of-the-art play areas for infants and toddlers in both of the agency’s Central and South Los Angeles facilities. To fund the project, members launched a successful greeting card program that featured paintings and drawings created by children in CII’s art program. The agency also benefits from the group’s annual holiday fundraisers and collaboration with other support group activities. Through each endeavor, Les Amies takes its role of “friend” to heart, supporting CII’s important work in countless, vital ways.
